Sonia Markee , Age :32

Jul 15,1986---Apr 01,2019

Sonia Markee (Sallie) passed unexpectedly on Monday April 1st 2019 at the age of 32.

Sonia wanted to do so much in her life, she was going to be a pilot, a sniper, and an actress. She had all of these goals set and was given full honors to reach these goals. Then she was diagnosed with Crohn's, and had to put those dreams aside. Yet, Sonia was a fighter and she fought on. Sonia lived a life full of struggles but she did not let that hold her down nor slow her. Instead, she shined out a light that inspires and gave strength to others that showed that even if you are struggling that are some good people out in the world willing to help you. Sonia was a loving and compassionate woman who gave her loving heart out to every person and animal she met. She ran a charity to help the homeless of Albuquerque and ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. Sonia learned to be a vet tech with her love of animals in all sizes, shapes, and was always ready to help with her advice or with her hands to save an animal. She also became a horse rider and raised horse as well as Keitea without breaking their spirit, all the while winning ribbons and belt buckles for her skills. Sonia had many wonderful qualities; she loved teaching people anything she knew, joined many couples together as a clergy, Sonia was also a model and was going to be an advocate for Crohn’s through her modeling.

Sonia passed in her sleep after her long life of struggle with her health which made no sense nor was fair. Yet, she persisted on pushing herself further than many people dared. Sonia left an impact on everyone she met, by showing them the strength and what anyone is capable of despite their circumstances. She will be greatly missed and the world is a little darker without her light.

Sonia was the best daughter and loving wife. Sonia is survived by her Mother Theresa Markee and her husband Robert (Markee) Sallie. Baby, we will all miss you so much.

A gathering to honor Sonia and her memory will take place at Bianchetti Park on Saturday April 20th at 5:00 pm; Granite Ave NE and Chelwood Park Blvd NE 87112.

What a great loss! So sorry! Its so obvious Sonia loved life, people and animals. She was self sacrificing to the very end! To her family, please take courage knowing that she's now at peace, sleeping until that time when she will rise again. (Acts 241:15) Sickness and death was never a part of God's purpose for us humans, He feels our pain and soon He will act to bring mankind permanent relief. He promises at Revelation 21:3-4.. to " wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away" May this sure hope bring you some comfort and may the beautiful life Sonia lived and the many memories she left behind go a little way to soothe the pain you now bear. Best wishes to you all.
