Anna Mae Lucero of Cuba, NM joined her Savior in heaven on Friday, May 3rd, 2019. She was born Anna Stahlman in Greenfield, MO on March 12, 1940 to Ralph and Martha (Morrow) Stahlman, and raised in Gate, OK. Anna was a talented artist, an outstanding pianist, and a sought-after manager of multi-location retail operations in northwestern New Mexico. Above all of her many attributes, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A much beloved Sunday School teacher and VBS organizer at the 1st Baptist Church of Cuba, Anna will be remembered for the time she devoted to teaching, and her keen ear for good worship music. Always witty, she was a small woman that could easily fill a room with her strong presence and good company. Anna was a sports enthusiasts that spent many years on ball fields or basketball courts, first with her sons, and later with her grandchildren. She was the undisputed referee for all family tournaments, and cheered for her sons and her grandkids at every event from YAFL and Little League to 4-H, choir, and more. Anna was an excellent teacher, giving many skills from accounting to crocheting to those around her. She could always be counted on to give an honest opinion, and her doors were always open to any of her loved ones for a cup of coffee and a good chat. 

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her son Todd Emond of Isleta, NM, her great-granddaughter Sawyer Mae Emond of Isleta, NM, her brothers Herschel Stahlman, Russell Stahlman, Raymond Stahlman, and Robert Stahlman; her sisters Roberta Stahlman, Floris (Stahlman) Leatherman, and Rose (Stahlman) Leatherman; her brothers-in-law Pat Leatherman and Don Leatherman; her sister-in-law Patricia Stahlman.

Anna is survived by her beloved husband, Patricio Lucero of Cuba, NM, as well as her siblings and their spouses: Ralph & Ruby Stahlman, Rex & Ellen Stahlman, Max & Theresa Stahlman, John & Bonnie (Stahlman) Evans, Stanley & Wanda Stahlman, Ronald Stahlman, and Darrin & Jane (Stahlman) Davis.

Anna is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Terry & Amy (Long) Emond of Augusta, KS, Steven & Rebecca Emond of Towanda, KS, and Esther (Chiwiwi) Emond of Isleta, NM; stepsons and their wives, Patricio Jr. & Kelly Lucero, of Bloomfield, NM, and Jimmy & Kelsey Lucero of Farmington, NM.

Anna is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses; Tessie Emond of Isleta, NM, Jacob & Anna (Emond) Arabie of Westlake, LA, Peter & Bailley (Emond) Lujan of Los Lunas, NM, Morgan & Naomi (Miller) Emond of Isleta, NM, Lanni Tod Emond of Isleta, NM, Alisha (Emond) Chavana of Augusta, KS, Chad & Chelsie Emond of Augusta, KS, Michael & Melanie (Gutmann) Emond of Augusta, KS, Gates Emond of Andover, KS, Garrett Emond of Wichita, KS, Jaden & Taylore (Emond) Garrison, of Augusta, KS, Brackstand Emond of Towanda, KS, and Brayceson Emond of Towanda, KS; Shelby & Reagan Lucero, of Bloomfield, NM; Corey, Erin, & Sierra Reed of Towanda, KS.

Anna is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Traven, Rowan, and Eva Emond of Isleta, NM, Faith Marie Jiron of Isleta, NM, Aaralynn, Paizley, and Rozie Chavana, of Augusta, KS, Avery, Presley, & Porter Emond of Augusta, KS, Kobyn & Shay Garrison of Andover, KS; Zachariah & Xavier Reed of Towanda, KS. She is survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Services for Anna will be held on Saturday, May 18th at the 1st Baptist Church of Cuba, at 11:00am
