Rebecca “Becky” Lucero, age 65, of Santa Fe; passed away at her home on June 28, 2019, surrounded by her loving children after a long battle with Melanoma. She was born on June 7, 1954 in Moab, Utah to Samuel, and Ann Lucero. She is survived by her daughter, Carollee, and son in law Robbie Counts. Her son Chris Torres. Her grandchildren, Cheyanne, and Christian Counts.  Brothers, Rudy Lucero, Eddie Lucero, and Paul Lucero. Nephew, Leo Lucero, and his wife Lelanda. Great nieces, Aliyah, and Trinity Lucero, and her great nephews, Phillip, and Nico Montoya.  Lifelong friend, Corena Bailey. Her beloved dog, Shadow, and other family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Samuel, and Ann Lucero. Her youngest brother Frankie Lucero. Her Aunt Loyda, her Nephew Patrick, and her cat Mitzi.

There will be a private visitation on Saturday July 6, 2019.  Public visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 beginning at 12:00 pm, with funeral services to follow all at Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe Chapel, 3232 Cerrillos Rd. Santa Fe NM 87507.  A Reception to follow at Santa Fe Baptist Church, 4977 Agua Fria St. Santa Fe 87507.

My condolences to Becky's family. I worked with Becky with the State of New Mexico, General Services Department,Building Services Division. She was a hardworking and caring woman. She cared deeply for her coworkers and customers. Most of all she has great faith in God and would go out off her way to help anyone in need. I will miss Becky very much. I will be praying for her family and friends. Rest in Peace Becky. See you in the not to distant future!
