Fernando Lucero Jr, Age :62

Fernando Lucero Jr was born Sept 6, 1956 and passed away on July 1, 2019. He is survived by his children, Maria King-Lewis (Will) and Matthew Lucero along with their mother Edwina Zamora, his parents, Fernando Sr & Gloria Lucero, sisters Teresa Marquez (Paul), Antoinette Martinez (Dennis) and Lynnette Gauna (Jason), 4 nieces & 2 nephews, 3 and ¾ great-nieces, 1 great-nephew, and many family and friends. 

Fernie (aka Dawg) was always up for a having a good time. He loved jamming on his guitar alone or with his friends either on stage or chilling out in the yard. He played many sports with baseball being his forte. He played Fast Pitch with teams such as Budweiser, Brewtown Bombers, Malida's Marauders and others. He loved riding his motorcycle and was usually found at the Isotopes game, local boxing, or MMA events enjoying a cold beer.  He enjoyed being a pain (in the you know what) and if he gave you a hard time, you bet he cared about you.  

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by a Catholic Communion service at 1860 Griegos Road NW Albuquerque, NM 87107. A small reception will follow at Sadie's of New Mexico, 6230 Fourth Street NW, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107

Will miss you cousin! We had great times at Sadie's restaurant and of course at the bike rally in Grants NM. My condolences go out to Uncle Fern, Aunt Gloria and my Lucero cousins. Matt and Maria your dad loved you both very much! You will truly be missed "Dawg" ... Rest In Peace my brother!
