Vincent J. Cappello , Age :83

VINCENT JAMES CAPPELLO was born on February 10, 1936 in New York City, and was called home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2019. Vincent grew up in New York City, Borough of Manhattan. Vincent was a graduate of St Josephs University. His passion was serving God, family and his community.  Vincent joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17 from 1953-1956 in the 312th Field Maintenance Squadron he was stationed in Clovis, Canon Air Force Base. After leaving the military he joined the Albuquerque Police Department from 1958-1996 retiring as a Detective Sergeant. After taking a little break decided to go back to APD as a civilian contract worker, again retiring in 2015 from Albuquerque Police Department. Vincent loved to travel with his wife. He was a great man of faith and loved his Father. Vincent was always reading, ministering and spreading God’s word to all that needed it and wanted to hear it, from weekly bible studies to many fellowships.  Vincent’s favorite things to do is going out to eat, traveling and spending time with the family and friends.  Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Vincent James Cappello. his mother Agnes and two brothers, Carl and Dominick. He is survived by his wife Gloria Lucero married 64 yrs. : three sisters Margaret, Dorothy, Maryellen :  two sons  Danny,  wife Vicki and Donald,  Fiancé Hannah,  his grandchildren  Daniel, great granddaughter Alexya; Jordan, wife Veronica and great granddaughter Jasmine , great grandsons Damien, Brayden ; Joshua,  wife Rebecca  great granddaughter Sophia ; Solana, husband Deven Nelson;  Elijah; Trina, fiancé Gerry  with great granddaughter Tierra, great grandson Davien ; Nathan ; Leonard,  great granddaughters Mariah, Alyssa. Together with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends all over the world.

 

Services will be held on Tuesday July 16, 2019 at Riverside Funeral Home Chapel beginning with a Viewing at 6:00 PM and a Celebration of Life at 7:00 PM.  Burial with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday July 17, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
