James Cafferkey, Age :48

Sep 29,1970---Aug 07,2019
James Cafferkey passed away surrounded by family on August 7, 2019, after a brave and valiant fight with melanoma.  He was born on September 29, 1970 in Cambridge, England, immigrated to America in 1981 with his mum and brothers, and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1988.   James graduated from Highland High School in 1989 and spent four years serving his country as a pharmacy tech in the U.S. Navy.  James was a beautiful free spirit who had a remarkable love for life and, despite his illness, never missed an opportunity to be outside surrounded by great friends and family.  James had a passion for cycling, camping and snowboarding and never let his illness keep him from fully embracing life, he was truly thankful for each and every day.  He was dearly loved by his family and countless number of friends who will miss his humor, kind loving heart, and determined spirit.  James is survived by his parents, Sheila and Lex, and his brothers Paul, Daniel and Joseph.  Services will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday August 30, 2019 at 9:00.
