I am Mela’s first cousin, my dad Frank and her mother were brother and sister. As a youngster we visited Them every summer for two weeks. Mela and I were inseparable, and I remember her as a beautiful, kind person with a wonderful sense of humor. No one is more deserving of eternal life and peace. I keep her in my heart and prayers. Praying for her family, Lou Ann

I loved Mela. My older sister, Agnes, and I grew up with her. I was always the baby that wanted to hang with them and Mela was always the one who said "yes she can come, we will watch out for her." We use to go swimming in the aceqia, and loved eating green apples. Agnes got in trouble one time for letting Mela cut her hair. The three of us thought it looked pretty good, but mama was MAD!!!! I visited her and Joey a few times later in life, and was sorry I couldn't go to Joey's and Joey Jr's funeral. My condolences to the entire Trujillo family especially her daughter.
