Bernadita P Baca, Age :83

Bernadita (Berna) P Baca, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the age of 83.

Berna was born to parents Luciano and Francisquita Garcia on July 12, 1937 in Encino, NM. She grew up as the youngest of five children and attended Willard High School. In 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Fidel Baca and remained married for 22 years. Both resided in Albuquerque, NM for the rest of their lives.

Berna married Fidel Baca in 1952, and the couple had five children. Berna was a homemaker and housewife for many years raising 5 children until she was forced to work to support the financial needs of the family doing what ever she could to make ends meet. She continued to work at various companies throughout the Albuquerque area over the next twenty five years until Fidel’s passing in 1996 and her retirement.

Berna is survived by her only daughter, Renee Baca of Albuquerque; son, Louie Baca and wife Stella; son Ricardo and wife Carrie, son Donald and wife Geneva and many grand children and great grandchildren. Berna was preceded in death by her eldest son Ralph Baca of Albuquerque NM, her mother and father Luciano and Francisquita of Willard NM, brother Raphael of Willard NM, sister Lola of Albuquerque NM, sister Conde of Clovis NM, sister/confidant Angela of Portales NM.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions mandated by the State of New Mexico there will not be a public viewing. Cremation of her remains is scheduled to take place on July 2020.

Berna’s remains will be retained until a mass of Christian Burial can take place in Willard, NM after which her ashes will be placed at the grave site of her beloved mother Francisquita Garcia TBD.

The family is grateful for the condolences from family and friends, no floral arrangements are being excepted at this time. At the families request please make all monetary donations to the Roadrunner Food Bank of NM to help feed the less fortunate in honor of Berna P Baca.

The entire Baca Family would like thank the medical staff of Presbyterian Hospital for caring for our mother during her brief illness.
