Mable Jojola, Age :93

Mable Clara (Roque) Jojola was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana, on September 3, 1926 to the parents of Anthony King Roque and Agnes (Metoyer) Roque.  The family moved to New Mexico following a manufacturing accident that took her father’s leg.  She met the love of her life, Vicente Jojola (deceased) at the Belen Fiesta in 1947.  On April 23, 1948 they were married. They had 11 children, Joseph V. (Maria); Rose Marie (deceased); M Elaine Lujan (Diego); Charles; Michael (Yvonne); Billy (Juanita); Ronald (Dorothy); Richard (Vicky) Patrick (deceased) (Catherine); Denise Jojola; Andrew.  She lived in Isleta Pueblo for 72 years.  She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, her sister, Ora Mae LaCour (Manual) and Brother John C. Roque (Dorothy) and many nieces and nephews.  She became mom, grandma, auntie and friend to so many wonderful people.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Agnes Roque, Her husband, Vicente Jojola, her children, Rose Marie and Patrick Jojola; Her siblings, Joseph and Charles Roque. 

 

Pallbearers will be  Charles Jojola, Billy Jojola, Ronald Jojola, Patrick Jojola, Jr., Andrew Jojola, Sean Lujan and Kadee Jojola.  Honorable Pallbearers are:  Joseph Jojola, Michael Jojola, Richard Jojola and all the grand-kids. 

 

A public viewing will take place on Sunday, August 30 from 5-7 pm at Riverside Funeral Home, 820 Main Street, NE, Los Lunas, NM

 

Due to Covid 19, A private family service will be held at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isleta, NM. Private Family Viewing at 9am, Rosary at 10 am Funeral Mass at 11 am, Internment at 12:30 pm. 

 

She will be laid to rest alongside of her beloved brother Charles at Sandia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 9500 San Pedro Drive NE.  Albuquerque, NM. 

 

The family would like to thank Natalie Abeita and the care givers at the Isleta Assisted Living Long-term Memory Care for taking such good care of her these last four years.  We appreciate all that you did for her.
