Fidel Saiz, Age :93

Fidel Saiz passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2020, at the age of 93. Fidel was born on April 25, 1927 in Duran, New Mexico to Celestino and Escolastica Saiz. He retired from the Air Force in 1967 and then from the Civil Service at Cannon AFB in 1985. Fidel and his wife Dora made Duran, New Mexico their home. Fidel and Dora were both active members of St. John Baptist Church, and were mayoradomos for several years. Fidel was also a member of St. Joseph’s Society, a volunteer firefighter in Duran, and a member of the American Legion Post 25. Fidel and Dora eventually moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico and became active members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. 

 Fidel is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 sons, 4 grandsons and 1 great grandson. Fidel is survived by his wife Dora, 3 sons; Adolph of Clovis, Raymond of Indiana, and Jerry of Clovis; and 4 daughters; Alice of Clovis, Dorothy of McIntosh, and Diana and Frances of Rio Rancho, 28 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Heartland Hospice staff for their compassion during our father’s illness.
