Lydia Isabel Marquez

Lydia Isabel Marquez of Albuquerque, NM went to her eternal rest on October 31, 2020.  Born in Nambe, NM, Lydia was raised in Espanola, NM, and was the daughter of Samuel and Aurora (Rivera) Alarid (deceased).   She graduated from Los Alamos High School.  

Lydia is survived by her sister, Ersilia Rael; her children, Teresa, Diana, and Harold Marquez; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many other relatives residing in Albuquerque, NM.  She was preceded in death by her husband Luis; son, Michael; sister, Ramona Williams; brother, Diego Alarid, and several other extended family members.

Lydia was a devout Catholic and attended the Queen of Heaven church.  She was a Catholic Daughter who sang in the Spanish choir.  She loved to line dance and sing.  Lydia was loved by all who knew her.  While she could no longer cook in recent years, her family enjoyed the wonderful meals she used to make.  The family would like to thank the management and residents of the Casa San Pablo Assisted Living and Presbyterian Hospice.  In lieu of flowers please donate to Presbyterian Hospice or the Catholic Church.

My dear Aunt Lydia. We sure miss you!. I'm sad for us but relieved you are not suffering anymore. You have a whole family and friends who were waiting for you. We love you always. I know I will see you again. Until then, hugs, kisses and prayers for all.
