Erardo “Ben” Lujan, 49, of Llano passed away unexpectedly in November 17, 2020. He worked as firefighter with the BLM for over 20 years.  He was a mechanic who was always willing to assist others with maintaining their vehicles.  He was a kind and generous person who was always willing to help anyone with anything they needed. He is survived by his parents Benito and Helen Lujan of Llano, son Benny Lujan (Rachel) and treasured granddaughter Lillyanna, daughter Elanie Lujan, wife Joyce Lujan, brother Derrick Lujan (Pauline), inlaws Johnny and June Montoya, godsons, Christopher Lujan, Elijah Montoya and many nephews and nieces who loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Patrocinio and Eleminia Lujan and maternal grandparents Ricardo and Barbarita Martinez and Jose P. Tafoya. Brothers, Richard and Nathan Lujan and nephew Richard Lujan.

Gone too soon. Speaking for several of us on his BLM fire crew from back in the day (we’ve been trading Benny stories), he was very well liked and respected. Solid firefighter, leader, and teammate. Funny all of the time and really kept everyone’s morale up, even when things weren’t always so nice on the fireline. My sincere condolences.
