David Paul Hunt, Age :68

Sep 08,1952---Jan 30,2021

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel of the forgiveness of sins. We remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant David:

David Paul Hunt was born in Bryan, Texas on September 8, 1952 to parents Robert and Catherine Hunt (Johnston). David was baptized to be a child of God and confirmed in the Christian faith at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Henderson, Nevada. He received Christ's life-giving body and blood at Our Savior before moving to Lake Havasu, Arizona for several years with his mother and step-father Joe. Since 2008, David had been an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Los Lunas, New Mexico.

On January 30, 2021, David, at the age of 68 years, fell asleep in Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead. God called David to his eternal home.

David is remembered by his family, friends and church members for his friendly demeanor and child-like faith. Being 6 foot 8 inches tall, David was known as being the tallest man many had known. He is also remembered for working at a couple of grocery stores in Henderson, NV and Lake Havasu, AZ for many years. In retirement, David enjoyed spending time with friends at the Los Lunas Senior Citizens center creating various ceramic keep sakes. David also enjoyed playing bingo as he was a favorite bingo caller.

David is survived by his brothers, Bob and sister-in-law Chris of Los Lunas; Eugene and sister-in-law Diane of Las Vegas, NV; his sister Carol and brother-in-law Ray of Henderson, NV and many nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Catherine and his brother Dennis.

Blessed be his memory!

My sincere condolences on David's passing. He was a very conscientious and caring person. I had the honor and privilege to drive him to his various appointments and activities in the Los Lunas Area as a Bus Driver for Rio Metro Valencia. We always had very enlightened and enjoyable conversations on local and world events. I will truly miss his friendship and company. God Speed my Friend... Ken Garcia
