Martin Francisco Lopez, 63, of Los Lunas New Mexico, passed away at home with his Girls; his wife Becky, Daughter Theresa, and Granddaughter Alicia, at his side, Friday 12 May 2017.  He was preceded in death by His Father Tom Lopez Sr. Brother Roland (Paco) Lopez, Sister, Inez Lopez, Grandmother, Viola Sanchez, and Father-In-law, Manuel (Chuck) Robles.  Martin was born June 19, 1953 in Gallup N.M. He graduated from Centennial High School, Pueblo, Colorado in 1972.  After Graduation he married his wife, the former Rebecca Robles, he then Enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. Proud of the Corps and being a US Marine he served his Country until 1976.  In 1978 He graduated from the New Mexico State Police Academy and served as a State Police Officer in Espanola N.M.  Throughout his life he pursued his many interests and passion for knowledge and learning.  In 1993, He became a permanent Substitute Teacher at Los Lunas High School until his retirement in 2015.  He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his Wife of nearly 45 years, Rebecca Lopez, Two Children: Francisco and Theresa.  Mother: Patsy, Brothers: Tom “Squeaky” (Grace) and Clarence, “Yaz” (Rhonda), Sister: Clarisa, “Tinka” (Louie) Leyba, Four Grandchildren: Antonio, Andres, Alicia and Tristan, and Mother In-law: Mary (Chuck) Robles of Pueblo, Colorado, and many, many Friends and extended Family.  For our beloved MARINE, we stand tall and forever carry you in our hearts!

Services:  Friday, 19 May 2017 at San Clemente Church, Los Lunas N.M.   Rosary, 9:30 am, followed by Mass at 10:00 am and reception follows immediately.
