Richard C. Anaya, age 56, of Taos NM, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2018 at 12:13 am. He was born August 6th 1961 in Taos, New Mexico to Connie and Ted Anaya. He served proudly in the United States Army National Guard.

He was a loving Son, Brother, Uncle and Godfather. In his time in Taos he was well known to all the locals, he was very loving, happy and outgoing person. His passion was fishing.

He is survived by his Parents Connie and Ted Anaya. He was Proceeded in death by his brother Leonard Anaya, grandparents Lydio and Rosanna Anaya and Selso and Cordelia Martinez. He is survived by his Two sisters Reakea (Ernesto) Garcia; Vicky (Robert) Martinez. His Aunts Dolly (Fred) Peralta, Gloria Vigil; Uncles Eloy (Rose)Martinez and Johnny (Juanita) Martinez. Nieces Jeanine, Nadine, Stephanie, Ashley (Cuauhte), Monique, Kimber and Nephew/fishing partner Matthew. Great Nieces and Nephews Kaya, Josh, Alyssa, Aliyah, Citlamina, Emilio and Jazmine.


Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 10:00am followed by the burial at the Hartt Cemetery in Ranchos de Taos at 2:30pm. He will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed by those who loved him dearly.
