Thomas (Tom) H. Cozart


Thomas (Tom) H. Cozart, 77, beloved father and husband, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 25, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ila Cozart and sister Bobbye C. Forrest. 

Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosemary (Tanny) Cozart; his two children, Kristin Cozart South (Scotty), Sean Thomas Cozart, Sister Ruth (Cozart) Rucker (Stan), and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Tom was born in Mississippi and moved to Albuquerque when he was drafted into the Army.  He chose to stay here to raise a family and opened a Volkswagen repair business that he and his partner ran for 40+ years.  He enjoyed sports, fishing, NASCAR, reading, sitting on the pier at his sister’s home in Mississippi, and quail hunting.

Cremation has taken place and at his request there will be a private family memorial held in Mississippi at a later date.
