Terrie Jean

Terrie Jean, born and raised in Anton Chico, NM and a current resident of Moriarty , passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2018. She was a hard working woman primarily working in the food industry or in the schools as a prep cook. She even spent some time as an air plane mechanic in her youth.  She loved to travel,  she would set a goal and make her "dream" come true then set another. Her greatest joy in life and was playing with children, in particular, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very creative with a vivid imagination. She often made and played games with the children for hours on end. They loved how she encouraged them,  loved them and valued all they strived to accomplish.  She called grandbabies kings and queens and her great grandbabies  princes and  princesses. She had a great love for Anton Chico and the people she grew up with.  She was always eager to meet new people and visit with old friends.  She liked to laugh and could easily spread laughter.   Her laughter and her enthusiasm will truly be missed by those that loved her.  

She is preceded in death by her parents Margarito and Margarita "Josephina"Lucero, her brother Benito Lucero and his wife Sylvia Lucero, sister in law Betty Lucero, her ex husband Edward Romero, their son Edward "JB" Romero, her grandsons Anthony Romero Jr. and Antonio Romero. She is survived by her children: Anthony Romero (Kendall), Donald Romero (Valerie), Diana Perea(Michael), and Frederick Romero (Pennie); her brothers Magdaleno Lucero, Marvin Lucero (Maria), Joaquin Lucero (Barbarita), Joey Lucero (Maryann) and her sister Jennie Lucero; her grandchildren: Phillip, Rachell, Don, Kevin , Adam, Jaybianna, Garett, Emmalee and Eilee; her great grandchildren: Cilena, Leah, Anastasia ,Destiny, Bella, Sophia, Marraya and Divinity. 

Services for Terrie will be held on Saturday July 14, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM. Rosary will start at 9:00 AM, mass will be held immediately after, and burial will follow Mass at the Anton Chico Cemetery. Family welcomes you to the Anton Chico Community Center for refreshments.
