Charles M. Finegan is the Owner of Riverside Funeral Homes and New Mexico Mortuary Service. He is a second generation Funeral Director, following in the footsteps of his father, Mr. Paul Finegan. He is dual licensed in both New Mexico and Texas. Charles, “Charlie”, as he is better known, is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoys building Muscle Cars and riding his Harley Davidson. It is his goal to provide affordable dignity to his customer families, and to ensure his employee families are taken care of as well.
Desiree Finegan grew up in El Paso, TX and graduated from Coronado High School in 2003. After relocating to Albuquerque in 2005, Desiree began working with Riverside Funeral Home and now serves as the General Manager. Desiree comes from a family who has been very involved in the funeral service industry. Her grandfather was a Licensed Funeral Director, as is her uncle, Riverside's Owner, Charles Finegan. Desiree looks forward to being able to help families during such a difficult time in their lives.
Chris Trujillo was born and raised in Socorro, NM where his Mother and Father were very active members of the San Miguel Church and his Father, Mike A. Trujillo, was a Judge for 23 years. This is where Chris became interested in law enforcement. Chris proudly served his Country as a member of the New Mexico Army National Guard for 13 years as a Military Police Officer and most recently retired as a certified Police Officer after 21 years. After a day of work, Chris goes home to his beautiful wife, Felicia and his precious children. They are the loves of his life and he cherishes every moment with them. Chris and his wife Felicia are expecting a child to join their beautiful combined family of nine children. Family is everything to Chris. Chris has always had a passion to pursue a second career in the funeral industry and has worked in every aspect of the funeral industry. Chris was promoted to Funeral Home Manager by Charles Finegan in 2013 and also serves as the Marketing Director for the company. Chris truly enjoys taking care of families and takes great pride in comforting them in their time of need.
Octavia Jobst serves Riverside Funeral Home as an Assistant Office Manager and Funeral Service Intern in Directing and Arranging. She has been a resident of Albuquerque for a little over twenty years having moved here from Colorado. She spent seventeen years prior to joining the Riverside Team as an Office Manager and accountant and brings with her a wealth of experience in customer service. Octavia, fondly referred to as ‘O.J’, is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and in her free time loves to travel, cheer on the Seattle Seahawks and enjoys trying new things. O.J. finds great satisfaction in being able to help families during such a difficult time in their lives.
Terry is a native of the state of Michigan, moving to Albuquerque in 2003. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Michigan and went on to attend and graduate from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, Illinois. Terry has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1984 and is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Terry is the proud father of three sons. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his sons as well as riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Since 1984, providing exceptional care, dignity and service has been his professional passion with the families that have placed their trust in him. .
Selma B. Trujillo-Martinez has been a fully licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with the State of New Mexico since 1995. She attended Cypress College in California earning a degree in Mortuary Science and receiving awards in both Scholastic Achievement and Embalming, and is also a licensed pre-need insurance agent. She is the daughter of the late Horacio and Carmen Trujillo and is married to G. Vincent Martinez Jr. Together they are the proud God Parents to Austin, Devin, Gabriel, Espie, Braedyn, Becente, John, Breanna and Adrian. Selma has been with Riverside Funeral Homes for over twenty years and is fulfilled by her calling to serve the families that place their trust in her. She especially enjoys working with US Veteran’s families and helping honor their service to our country. During their free time Vincent and Selma love to cheer on the Green Bay Packers, and enjoy hunting and riding their Harley.
Jim Edwards has been in funeral service for 41 years and is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. In 1985 he established Albuquerque Mortuary Service, the state's first commercial embalming service. In 1993 Jim established Hillcrest Funeral Home which is now Riverside Funeral Home.

Jim Edwards was President of the New Mexico Funeral Service Association, selected funeral director of the year in 1990, and a charter member of The Funeral Ethics Association.

Santiago has over 40 years experience in the funeral industry and takes great pride in caring for families and truly loves his profession. Santiago and his wife, Linda are members of San Juan Parish in Ohkay Owingeh, NM and Santiago is a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Los Padres Assembly. Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe welcomes Santiago to our caring family .
Michael F. Monach is a single father of one 7 yr. old son name Koda. Michael is a dedicated father that volunteers at Marie Hughes Elementary School as a Husky Hero, Fathers that help out at school for safety. Michael also coach’s his son’s competitive soccer team. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and has now resided in Albuquerque NM since 1992. Michael has lived and worked in many different states thru out his career, this has allowed him to have numerous customer service experiences that span many different levels and cultures. This best suits Michael’s customers diverse needs by matching Insurance products to customers.

Michael has a B.S.-from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 12 yrs. Mortgage Banking experience with numerous national awards and distinctions, as well as being a multi million dollar broker. Michael also has 20 years experience in Customer service management that has lead him to the Funeral home business. As a Multi line Insurance agent (NM License #312143), Michael is now concentrating on Pre Need’s as Riverside Funeral home’s Director of pre arrangements.
As a native New Mexican, Greg has resided in Albuquerque for the past 11 years and is originally from Las Cruces. He began his funeral services career while in Las Cruces, and in October 2009 he continued to work here at Riverside Funeral Home as a Transport Associate. In order to better serve our families, he recently received his Funeral Services Intern license in Preparation and Embalming, and in Directing and Arranging. In his spare time he enjoys camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends.
Aaron is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has been with Riverside Funeral Home since 2015. Since then, Aaron has obtained his FSI (Funeral Service Intern) License in embalming. Aaron is dedicated to providing the best service to the families he serves. Aaron is a 2015 graduate of Volcano Vista High School and is currently enrolled at CNM striving to earn his degree in criminal justice to pursue his dream of becoming a police officer with the Albuquerque police department and continue to serve his community. Aaron enjoys watching football spending time with his family. Aaron strives to be proficient in all aspects of the funeral service industry and to provide families with exceptional care.
Barbara J. Rierson is a life-long resident of Valencia County and attended the Belen Schools. She is the daughter of the late Manuel and Eva Serna. Barbara is married to Mr. Bob Rierson and together they are raising their beautiful daughter Miranda, and two year old son Braedyn Rey. They are also the proud god-parents of Jenica Janae. She is also the daughter in law of John and Kelly Rierson. Barbara has been in working in the Funeral Service field for ten years, and is currently an Intern in both Embalming and Directing/Arranging. Barbara is a vital part of the Riverside team as the Administrative Assistant at our Los Lunas location. She enjoys cooking for and spending time with family and friends.
Christina Salas has been with Riverside Funeral Home since April 2011. Christina obtained her degree in criminal justice and is currently a funeral service assistant here at the funeral home. Her family consists of her wonderful children Mariah, Max and Nevaeh; her fiancé Joe Salas and her father Richard Sandoval who also works for the funeral home. Christina takes pride in her job and in taking care and being there for the families at their time of need.
Pat Fullbright has been with Riverside Funeral Home since January of this year. He has six years of transportation experience and dealings with the OMI. He has been married for thirty-two years and has three children. Pats hobbies include fishing, home improvement projects and watching football.
Richard has been a valuable member of the Riverside family since 1997 as a part of the Evening Removal Team. Richard also holds his Intern License in Embalming. In his spare time, Richard enjoys photography and collecting World War II German War Helmets.
We are proud to have Richard Martinez in the Riverside Funeral Home family. Richard comes to us with over 40 years of Funeral Service experience in caring for families. Richard was born and raised in Albuquerque's North Valley and is a graduate of Valley High School Class of 1964. Richard is married and the proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren.
Felicia R. Trujillo joined the Riverside Funeral Home family in May 2013 as a Funeral Service Assistant. Felicia is a native of Albuquerque and is a 1999 graduate of Rio Grande High School. Felicia was previosly employed with David's Bridal for 5 years as a Wedding Consultant. She is married to Chris Trujillo and they are blessed with 2 beautiful children but a combined family of 9 children. She loves helping families during services and takes great pride in her job.
Susan Gomez was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She has been working at Riverside Funeral Home since March 2015, as a funeral assistant. She loves her job and enjoys working alongside of her father Richard Martinez. She is married to Ernest Gomez and is a proud mother of Jude and Julianna. In her spare time she likes to read and spend time with her family. Susan hopes to eventually get her FSI license. She is looking forward to achieving that goal.
Amanda Wallace-Trujillo was born and raised in Belen, New Mexico and earned her Associates Degree in General Science from the University of New Mexico Valencia Campus. She graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science from Arapahoe Community College in Colorado and is working on her state requirements to earn her Funeral Service Practitioner license. Amanda has 4 years of funeral service experience. Amanda volunteers at the New Mexico Children's Grief Center as a Bereavement Facilitator for a teen group. In her spare time, she enjoys learning about the history as well as any new advances in the funeral industry. Amanda lives with her husband, Chris and children, Jaynee and Noah here in Albuquerque.
Taylor Ryan Falance was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. Prior to his employment at Riverside Funeral Home, Taylor was employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant for the elderly. Taylor began his employment with Riverside Funeral Home in March of 2015 as a Funeral Service Assistant in our Care Facility. Taylor enjoys exercising and in his spare time he has taken up the passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing. Taylor also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Tomas McCloud is a lifetime resident of New Mexico. Tomas is a valuable team member of the Riverside Funeral Home Care Facility. He is currently working towards his intern license in Directing, Arranging through the Board of Funeral Services. Tomas spends his free time volunteering at Sagebrush Community Church along with his family. Tomas is engaged to Mayra Gonzalez and they have a combined family of 6 children. Tomas is dedicated to assisting families during their time of need.
James Houston is a Funeral Service Intern / Funeral Arranger at Riverside Funeral Home. He possesses greater than a decade of experience in the funeral industry while taking pride making sure that the needs of families have been met.
Anna Ivey moved to Albuquerque from Las Cruces, NM in February 2016 to join Riverside Funeral Home as an Administrative Assistant. She has been in the funeral industry for nearly 7 years and training to serve as a Funeral Service Intern. She enjoys working with and helping families in their time of need. In her spare time, Anna enjoys cooking, camping trips, fishing, swimming and being with friends and family.
Paula is a native New Mexican she is the daughter of Linda & the late Alfredo Dominguez. She joined the Riverside family in March 2018. She is married to Malcolm and has two children Malcolm II & Makayla. Paula’s hobbies include fishing, camping, cooking, and spending time with family. She takes pride in doing her job and helping families in their time of need.
Valerie is an multi-generational Taoseño. Valerie takes great pride in caring for families and truly loves her profession. Valerie, her husband, Johnny and son, Bruce are avid animal lovers. Valerie is the granddaughter of the late Florimel and Helen Maestas of Taos. Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe welcomes Valerie to our caring family.
Gina Terrazas is the Director of First Impressions at Riverside Funeral Home and takes joy in helping families in their time of need. She feels that a smile and a kind word can go a long way and make a difference in how a family leaves Riverside Funeral home.
Gary Redmond is the courier at RFH and takes much pride in his job. Gary has two daughters he enjoys spending time with and cooking for. He really enjoys dancing and considers himself very good at it. Gary plays a huge part in helping families by assisting directors during services. Gary develops a positive rapport with our families due to his big heart and compassionate spirit.
Alexis Baca was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and recently moved back to her home town from Northern California. Alexis joined the Riverside team in March of 2017 and loves her job. Her goal is to receive her FSP and plans on starting school very soon to achieve that goal. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, playing video games and spending time with her fur baby Bella. She also spends time after hours doing home removals and takes great pride in knowing that she is helping all our families in their time of need.
Born in Cd. Juarez, Miguel Landa moved to Albuquerque in 2003, and graduated from Highland High School in 2007. He is new to the funeral service industry and specializes in assisting Spanish-speaking families during their time of need. Miguel has amassed experience in customer service for over 12 years. In his spare time, he relishes in the study of philosophy.
Paul is a life long resident, 6th Generation Santa Fean, grandson of Eva M. Griego of Eva’s Bridals, with over 3 years of experience in the funeral industry and former receiptant of the Wheeler Citizenship Medal presented by the Santa Fe Fire Department in 2017. Paul takes great pride in caring for our families and truly loves his profession. Riverside Funeral Home of Santa Fe welcomes Paul to our caring family.
Mason Cates serves as an Mortuary Manager at Riverside’s Albuquerque location. Born in Albuquerque and a graduate of Belen High School, he is new to the Funeral business as also having graduated from Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix Arizona as a certified Ford Automotive Technician. His love of learning new things along with his genuine concern of others pushes him to grow and improve both in his customer service and his day to day life. Mason can say with confidence that he is “happy to be part of the Riverside team.”
Danielle was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has been working at Riverside Funeral Home since December of 2017, starting in the office and moving over to the care facility, where she is a funeral assistant. Her two little dogs, Pepper and Olive, take up most of her free time outside the funeral home. Providing care and compassion to all families is what she strives for every day.
Westley Harris is a New Mexican native born and raised in Roswell where he was employed as a Funeral Service Intern at LaGrone Funeral Chapel and Ballard Funeral Home. Westley served in the United States Marine Corps. He joined the military shortly after graduating from Roswell High School in 2002. To this day he continues to hold those core values close to his heart. Wes enjoys restoring classic muscle cars, camping, heading to the shooting range and spending time with his family when he is not working. He takes pride in his career and feels that it is a great honor to help families in their time of need.
Amanda Stewart was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi. She recently moved to Albuquerque to be closer to her family. Amanda graduated from Harrison Central High School, in Mississippi, with 'High Honors' in 2004 and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She met the love of her life and future husband, Christopher Stewart, while in high school and they married in May 2008. They have three beautiful boys, Elijah, Tyler, and Landon. Amanda started a job at a small family owned funeral home where she developed a love for helping others in their hardest time. She started only as a weekend receptionist and after a couple months became Administrator to the owner personally. This lead to a very long and rewarding career where she has grown and is now a licensed Funeral Director. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing the guitar, and reading.
As a 25-year resident of Albuquerque, Arthur Otero has about 5 years’ experience working for various cemeteries in the area. This is his first time working in a funeral home and is excited to work with families in this capacity. What he most enjoys about his employment is the rewarding feeling of being able to assist grieving families in their time of need.
Christine joined the Riverside team in June 2018. She is new to the funeral industry and would like to work towards receiving her FSI to better assist the families we serve. She is interested in advancements in the funeral industry as well as alternative methods of disposition. Christine comes to Riverside with a background in social work and strives to uniquely connect with people in their time of need. In her spare time Christine creates art, enjoys white water rafting and traveling to new places.
Jacob Guevara was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a part of the first graduating class of Media Arts Collaborative Charter School. After graduating high school Jacob pursued work in the funeral industry and has worked his way to becoming a licensed intern embalmer. He loves music, animals and rainy days.
Cynthia Embree is the media specialist for the Albuquerque office and takes great pride in her work. She enjoys taking the time to make sure all of the memorial items are perfect for our families and their loved ones during their services. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and playing games.
Peter has 3 years experience in the funeral industry and takes great pride in caring for families and truly loves his profession. Peter and his fiance, Stephanie are proud residents of Taos for the last 10 years. They both enjoy hiking the Carson National Forest and gardening at home. Jeana is a valuable asset to our funeral home and takes great pride in caring for families. Jeana enjoys spending time with her family and most importantly, her grandchildren. Jeana is dedicated to providing the best services to the families of Northern New Mexico and to be proficient in all aspects of the funeral service industry.
