Obituary of Margaret Baca

Margaret Baca was granted her angel wings on Wednesday April 21, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren and siblings. Margaret was a loyal wife to Ben Baca for 67 years, and followed him to heaven 12 weeks after his passing. She was a loving mother of six children; Rose Baca-Quesada (Lawrence), Georgia Padilla (George), Leroy Baca (Fran), Bennie Baca, Debi Baca and Annie Brooks (Michael). Margaret was a cherished grandmother to Michelle Starnes, Adam Quesada and Theresa Quesada, Mindy Yzaguirre, Jennifer Moya, Kevin Baca, Gabe Rodriguez, Andres Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, Nick Baca, Luis Baca, Jared Baca, Justin Baca and Stephen Baca. Her 29 great-grandchildren were honored to call her nana. 

Margaret was a devoted daughter to Rosalio and Onofre Valdez; and a beloved sister to Bennie Valdez, Levy Valdez, Maryann Eley, Junior Valdez, Patricia Diggins, Bobby Valdez, and Chris Valdez. She was delighted to be called "Auntie Maya" by many nieces and nephews. 

Margaret was resilient, forgiving, loving, compassionate, giving, and a humble servant of the Lord. She demonstrated strength, understanding, respect, and acceptance in her favorite role, of being a mother. She represented Christianity everyday of her life, never wavering. Her eyes reflected the love of Jesus and she shared His love with everyone she met through her kindness and warm disposition. Her presence will forever be missed by those she loved. 

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Baca; parents Rosalio and Onofre Valdez; grandson Jared Baca; sisters Levy Valdez and Maryann Eley; and brother Chris Valdez.
