Obituary of Ernest Moquino

Ernest Moquino, 79, of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully in his family home, with his loving wife by his side, on October 5, 2021. He was born August 1, 1942 in Albuquerque, NM.

Ernest was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a talented handyman and was always willing to help people with home improvements, landscaping and working on cars. He enjoyed going on walks and working out at the gym with his wife, Maria. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was caring, giving, and he had a great sense of humor. He loved God and remained faithful his entire life. Ernest touched the lives of many people and his presence will be greatly missed.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Maria; his three children, Boris Moquino, Norma Moquino and Cheri Bullard; his step-children Sammy Abdala (and Tamara) and Soraya Abdala; he had seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie G and Rita L. (Lovato) Moquino, his brother Joe Moquino and his sister Pauline Downell.

No funeral services will be held, as it was Ernest’s wish to have a private family memorial service with his wife and children. His ashes will be spread in the place he loved most, which was where he spent his time hunting and fishing with his son, Boris.
