Glenda Davis

Obituary of Glenda Davis

Glenda Faye Egger Davis passed from this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 14, 2021. Glenda was 85. A former longtime resident of Gallup, NM, she had been residing in Albuquerque for the last 5 years struggling with Dementia. Glenda’s children would like to thank the staff at The Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque for their compassionate and loving care that they extended to their mother. They became members of our family and Glenda loved them.

Glenda was born May 26, 1936 in Nolan County, Texas. It was there that she met and married the love of her life, Calvin Lee Davis. After marrying at the age of 16, she spent the next 38 years with Calvin raising four children before he passed away in 1992. When she wasn’t at home with kids, she spent her life as a secretary. She worked at First Baptist Church of Gallup and then at Pino’s & Associates in Gallup. Glenda loved her church family and continued to serve the church anyway she could even after moving on from the secretary position.

Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin, her parents Ben and Ruby Egger of Texas, her brothers RB Egger of Georgia and Oran Egger of Texas, and one grandson-in-law of Albuquerque, Bryan Summy. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Williams and husband, Ken, of Albuquerque, her son Mike Davis and wife, Kelly, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, her son Ricky Davis and wife, DeVona, of Albany, Texas and her daughter Rhonda Davis and wife, Kameron Straight, of Albuquerque. Her grandchildren and spouses include: Matt and Taylor Davis of KY, Aaron and Ashley Davis of KY, Lydia and Chris Goodloe of TX, Erica Summy of NM, Brooke and Nick Campbell of AZ, Larissa and Tim Baker of NJ, and Kory Williams and his fiancee Maggie-Mae Ellison of TX. Glenda was also blessed with 6 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date
