Obituary of Victoria Esquibel

Victoria E. Esquibel (Vickie) 88, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 24, 2021

Victoria was born on August 1, 1933 in Trujillo, New Mexico to Alfredo and Severa Lopez. She is survived by her children, Levi Esquibel of Santa Clara, NM, Bernadette Lerma and husband Juan of San Antonio, TX, Brenda Borden and husband Pat of Elkhart, IN, and Bonita Standard and husband Steve of Albuquerque, NM. 12 grandchildren and 27 Great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Severa Lopez, and sons, Leroy, Llewellyn and Leslie Esquibel.

Victoria began working at St. Joseph’s hospital now Lovelace Medical Center in September 1970 and retired in 2013 after 43 years. She was devoted to her family and faith. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Rosary will be recited at 5:00pm Monday, January 17, 2022 at Riverside Funeral Home located at 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Catholic Mass will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 9:30am at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery following the mass.
