Obituary of Anita Louise Shank

Louise Shank, beloved wife, mother, grand-mother, and great-grandmother passed away on January 2, 2022.  She was born in Pueblo, Colorado on May 30, 1940, to Rocco and Vera Rose DiSanti.  As a life-long farmer, Louise was happiest on her tractor, planting her huge vegetable gardens and taking care of her animals.  She also enjoyed going to the casino.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and their spouses, Johnny and Pat DiSanti, Rose Marie and Jay Miller, Eddie and Barbara DiSanti, nephews, Rocky DiSanti, Randy DiSanti and niece, Cheryl Williams.

            Louise is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Shank, daughter, Lorraine (Paul) Chenoweth of Bosque Farms, NM, son, Roy Shank of Albuquerque, grandchildren, Michael (Caitlin) Chenoweth of San Diego, CA, Monica Chenoweth of Bosque Farms, Dr. Patrick Chenoweth of Bosque Farms, Jessica (Dan) Blomberg of Austin, MN and great-granddaughter, Natalie Chenoweth, of San Diego.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

            A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, also at Church of the Ascension.  Burial to follow at Los Padillas Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses be said for her soul.  Regrettably, due to Covid, there will be no reception.
