Obituary of Erlinda Tapia

Erlinda Tapia became an angel of God, at 75 years old, on Sunday January 23, 2022. Erlinda was a lifelong resident of Ribera, New Mexico. She was born to Merejilda Padilla and Procopio Martinez on June 24, 1946 in Las Vegas, NM.

Erlinda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a mother of five children who she always provided love and support to. She enjoyed spending time with each of her children, and grandchildren. She was also blessed to have the opportunity to meet all of her great grandchildren. She enjoyed jokes and laughter, there was never a moment she couldn't turn into a joke. If you didn't find her at one of her children's houses you would find her going for rides, buying her daily scratcher or spending time with her friends playing Bingo.

Erlinda is proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Tapia ; brother, Juan Martinez, and her nephew,John Patrick Martinez.

Erlinda is survived by her children, Pearl (Pablo), Marvin (Leslie), Michael, Paul, and Lawrence;

grandchildren, Leann, Monique, Laura (Robert), Marvin J.R. (Alma), Vanessa (Leon), Justina(Pancha), Michelle (Brian), Jasmine (Mateo), Pablo J.R., 10 great grandchildren.;and numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Due to Covid-19 the family has chosen to delay the services until the Spring of 2022.
