Dilia Moya

Obituary of Dilia Moya

Dilia Moya became an angel of God on January 25, 2022. She is now on her journey to heaven. She is now dancing with her husband in the sky. She was 87 years old. Dilia was born in San Ysidro, New Mexico, on July 8, 1935, to Antonia and Lorenzo Aragon.

Dilia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years: Jose Moya, her parents: Lorenzo and Antonia Aragon, brothers: Benildo and Narcisco Aragon, sisters: Eleanor Bustillos and Estella Gomez.

Dilia is survived by her five children: Virginia (Tony) Burgess, Anthony (Dolores) Moya, Sally Moya(Antonio), Paul Moya, and Josie. She is survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Looney and Nancy Lucero; brother, Nicasio and Carol Aragon. Numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.

Dilia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She always loved being around her family. That was her passion: watching the kids. Especially the kids and the babies. Her laughter was so contagious and her being happy, made us happy. She loved red roses, angels, and her birds. She loved to hear them whistle and sing. The greatest gift we could have was her love for everybody. She always wanted peace for everyone. As we move forward in a world she is no longer in; it will be hard, but God will provide our peace, strength and be our comfort. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
