Obituary of Jonathan Adolpho Telles Tompkins

Jonathan Adolpho Telles Tompkins, 39, of Albuquerque and Roy, NM, who was loved by so many, went home on February 21st, 2022.

Jonathan was born March 11th, 1982, in Alamogordo, NM to Roger and Maria Alicia Tompkins. He started his education at Father James B. Hay Catholic School and finished his high school education in 2000 from Roy High School, in Roy, NM. Jonathan attended Eastern New Mexico University where he earned an Associate in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science - Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science - WildLife and Fishery Science.

After a few years of working with nature, Jonathan decided to return to school for his Master of Arts Degree in Special Education from the University of New Mexico. His career and love for teaching began at Helen Cordero Primary School and continued at Edward Gonzales Elementary School, then Montezuma Elementary in Albuquerque, NM. Through his teaching career he made many close friends, while staying in close contact with his childhood friends and many of his cousins, who all loved him dearly. Jonathan made the most out of life and was always on an adventure with friends, spending time with his family in Roy or snowboarding some mountain in Taos, NM.

Jonathan Adolpho Telles Tompkins is preceded in death by his beautiful parents Roger and Maria Alicia Tompkins. He is survived by his four sisters Amanda, Christina, Katherine and Jennifer; his brother Matthew; and by a total of thirteen nieces and nephews - Destiny, Hunter, Laney, Zane, Samson, Zoey, Lily, Elizabeth, Mia, Dominic, Jessie, Victoria and Isaac; and his great niece - Eliza.

The family would like to extend our gratitude and love to all those that gave so much love and care to our brother, friend and uncle during his time here on earth. Your love for him was his true blessing in his life.
