Obituary of Richard Lawrence Lepp

Richard Lawrence Lepp, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM was called home by the Lord on April 11, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin C. and Mildred A. Lepp, his sister Margaret A. (Marguerite) Funderburg, her husband Tulsa A. and son David E. Funderburg, his brother Robert E. Lepp and sister-in-law Bette A. Lepp. He is survived by his beloved wife Aurora Dabi Lepp. Step children Maristella (Tillete) Sta. Maria and husband Whilden of Manilla, Philippines. Maribeth Epley and husband Mike and family of Charleston, SC. Kenneth Dabi and wife Bong and family of Davao City, Philippines. Richie Dabi and wife Adelle and family of Davoa City, Philippines. Niece Nancy J. Anderson and great nephew David R. Anderson, both of Phoenix, AZ. Great nephew John Funderburg of Tucson, AZ. Neice Bobbi and husband Ben Carrillo and great niece's Kelsey and Katie of Edgewood, NM. Great- great niece Mikayla Kyleen Blake. Niece Kathleen Flanders and husband Glen and great nephew Rob and wife Jen Lepp of Albuquerque, NM and sons Liam and Finnigan. Great niece Jennifer and husband Sergio of Las Cruces, NM.

Richard was a graduate of Highland High School and the University of New Mexico. He was a long time employee of the US Geological Survey. He was a Christian and a long time member of the University Heights United Methodist Church where he served in various leadership positions and was the Church Treasurer for 53 years. He was a member of Albuquerque Elks Lodge 461. He also served in the New Mexico "bingo" on Monday afternoons. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews over the years and enjoyed family get togethers. Richard enjoyed reading and walking at Jerry Kline Park over the years. Richard and his loving wife enjoyed spending time with friends and visiting family in the Philippines. Richard had a love for animcals and over the years he loved his pet dogs: Boots, Samantha, Punkin and Bunny. 

Honarary paulbearers: Geln Flanders, Ben Carrillo, David Anderson, John Funderburg, Rob Lepp and Sergio Gomez. He has been cremated at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE. A memorial service will be held at University Heights Methodist Church located at 2210 Silver Ave SE on April 28, 2022 at 12:30pm. Richards remains will be buried at Fairview Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to University Heights United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
