Obituary of Eligio "Phil" Moya

1932‐2022

Eligio “Phil” Moya, age 89, passed away peacefully in his home in Adelino on April 26, 2022. He was born to Eligio and Margarita Moya in Adelino, NM. Phil will be remembered as a business owner and respectable member of the community. He established  a successful glass company in the 70’s that is still in business today.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Felix Moya, sister, Sofi Castillo, sister Lina and brother in law Juan Aragon, his son Clarence, and his grandson Timothy Montoya. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosela and their children, Veronica Lopez (James); Johnny Moya (Debra) and  Chester Moya (Linda); His siblings, Salamon Moya (Martha), Victor Moya (Edwina) and Cris Thompson; his grandchildren, Matthew, Felicia, Amanda, Victoria, Max, Richard, Anna, Yvette and many great grandchildren.

Services will take place on  Wednesday, May 4 th , 2022 at Tome Catholic Church,  beginning with public visitation from 10:30‐11:30 AM, followed by a Rosary and Mass. A reception will follow at the Valencia County Sherrif’s Posse hall
