Obituary of Diana Emma Torres

Diana Emma Torres born January 24, 1937 passed away on April 16th, 2022 at home surrounded by family.

Diana was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She always enjoyed having people over, making her favorite dish of spaghetti and ribs, or her delicious enchiladas,  rice, beans, and tortillas. Diana enjoyed having everyone and anyone over every Christmas. She was always proud of her baked dishes that we all enjoyed.  Diana loved the holidays, and times spent with family at Jemez on Easter.  Diana enjoyed a good movie, and going to a theater. She loved Mariachis, having them surround her at a restaurant,  and was fortunate to have them serenade her at home two weeks before she passed. She shared her life with friends who we would call "The Desperate  Housewives ". 

Diana was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Genaro Torres, Grand daughter Vanessa Gutierrez,  Great Grandson Marcos Rodriguez.   Diana is survived by Kathy Duran,  Joanne Gutierrez,  Valerie Armijo, Deanne Torres, Mark Torres, and Martin Torres.  Diana had 15 grandchildren,  26 great grandchildren,  and 3 great great grandchildren. 

Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 7th, at 11:00 AM.
