Obituary of Kathie Blackwell - Wright

Kathie Diane Blackwell Wright passed away Friday, May 6th, 2022. Born in Dover, Ohio on September 2, 1958 to her parents Robert J. Blackwell and Lorilla M. Devin Farris. She graduated from Madison High School and was a caretaker for family, friends and community members. She will be dearly missed by all of those who were ever cared for by Kathie. She is survived by her son Sean Wayne Wright of Tucumcari, NM, her step-daughters Stephanie Blado, Tiffany Miles, and Bethany Adams. Her siblings James R. Blackwell, Boyd H. Blackwell, Stephen Blackwell, Paul Blackwell, Karen R. York, Duane E. Blackwell, Lori Kucera, and Treva Harper, and many nieces and nephews and other loved ones. Katie had such a serving heart and would help anyone that needed anything. She had a keen sense of humor and her laugh was infectious. She loved to create beautiful cakes for special occasions and had a wealth of knowledge for homesteading. Her most recent adventure was learning to work with an oxen named Molly. She had a zest for life and a love for God that will carry through all that knew her. A celebration of life service will be held for her on June 25th, 2022 beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the family farm 6476 Allen Lane, Tucumcari, NM 88401. In lieu of flowers you can celebrate her life by donating to Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
