Obituary of Lori Candelaria

On Saturday, May 14th, 2022, Lori Candelaria, loving mother, daughter, sister, family and friend, passed away at age 41.

Lori was born on October 27th, 1980 to her mother Martha Denise Candelaria, and her father “Bird.” She attended high school and college in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She held various jobs in customer service. She had the advantage of being bilingual. She began working at the young age of 14 years to help support her family.

She was the mother of two children; son, James E. Burks, III, and daughter, Andalasia A. Burks.

She had a passion for working hard, supporting her children, loving her family, believing in her faith, and giving life her all. Lori was a selfless person; if she had it, she would give it. Lori was known to love fashion and loved having nice things. She loved making people smile, and rarely thought of herself.

Lori was preceded in death by her father “Bird,” her mother Martha Denise Candelaria, and her brother Michael Candelaria. She is survived by her children; James E. Burks, III, Andalasia Burks, and their father, James E. Burks, Jr., and his wife Lea V. Burks. She was also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

There will be a Memorial held in her honor at Roosevelt Park in Albuquerque, NM, on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at 2pm.
