Obituary of Darlene Mora

Darlene Mora, age 75 passed away on Monday May 9, 2022. She was born in Greeley Colorado on July 13, 1946 to Premetivo and Dora Aragon.  

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jose “Biggie” Mora, her parents Premetivo and Dora Aragon, one brother, one sister and two great-grandchildren. 

Darlene is survived by her daughters Crystal (Patrick) Gonzales-Hernandez of Bernalillo, NM, Deborah (Peter) Garduno-Vigil of Rio Rancho, NM, Joann (Joe) Palacio and Son Mark (Tina) Mora, both of Albuquerque, NM, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, sisters JoElene (Luis) Garcia and Grace Padilla, brothers Robert (Del Marie) Aragon and Timmy (Coleen) Aragon, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  

Darlene was known for her love of music and being the wife of a musician. She and her husband were members of the choirs at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, San Jose Catholic Church (Algodones) and San Antonio Catholic Church (Sandia Pueblo). In addition to music, Darlene loved children and spent nearly a decade as educator until she became ill. Darlene was an avid bingo and arts & crafts lover.  

The family would like to thank the following people for their love, care & support, the staff at Fresenius North Rio Rancho Dialysis Clinic, Herman the Bernalillo Senior Center, caregiver’s Irene, Mario and Grandma’s nurses, Jordan, Daija & Kailey. 

A rosary and funeral mass will be held on Saturday July 9, 2022, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM, for both Darlene and Jose “Biggie” Mora. 

An Angel 

An angel lived among us,
A gift from God above.
She showered us with kindness
And shared with us her love.
She cherished every moment
With the man who was her life;
Walking hand in hand together,
Facing life with all its strife.
She loved her children dearly,
Each one a different way,
Nestled close within her heart.
Though, now, she's far away.
She's gone to live with Jesus.
But, she's here with us, today,
Smiling down on every one of us,
And telling us she's O.K.
