Obituary of Abelito Rivera

On Monday, May 24, 2022, Abelito "Abe" Rivera, loving father, brother and uncle, passed away at age 69.

Abelito was born on October 7, 1952 in Tierra Amarillo, NM to Jose and Celia Rivera. Abe and his entire family moved to Albuquerque at an early age where he grew up. In 1972 Abe enlist in the United States Marine Corps and in 1974 received an Honorable Discharge and returned home. Abe worked City of Albuquerque for years before he retired. 

Abelito was preceded in death by his father, Jose, and his mother, Celia. He is survived by his son Abelito Anthony Rivera, one sister Joann Sedillo and husband Louie , five brothers Manuel Rivera and wife Angela, Gilbert Rivera and wife Nancy, Benny Rivera and wife Lorie, James Rivera, Tomas Rivera and wife Diane. Abe also had several Nephews and Nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18th, 2022 at the Holy Family Catholic Church on 562 Atrisco SW. 8:00am visitation

 8:30am rosary 9:00am funeral mass and 1:00pm burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
