Maria (Yia Yia) loved being surrounded by her loved ones, she loved cooking Greek food for everyone and her home was always open to all of her friends and family. Listening to Greek music, visiting her favorite casino and going to her favorite Arabian market Istanbul brought her much joy. Being in the restaurant business for many years suited her servant heart, and touched many people. Yia Yia was truly one of a kind and didn't hold back telling you how she felt.  Maria had a feisty spirit but would give you the shirt off her back. She loved giving gifts to everyone. Maria was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
