Obituary of Helen Dolores Aragon

Helen D. Aragon of Albuquerque passed away on August 18, 2022.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 54 years Ernest Aragon.

She is survived by her daughters; Andrea Aragon and Anissa Aragon Chavez (Paul Chavez); grandsons Jonathan (Gabby) and Michael Chavez and great-grandchildren; Santiago and Selena Chavez. She is also survived by her brother Harold Garcia and sister Rosie Lee Cata; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Helen was born in Fort Sumner, NM on October 28, 1941. She moved to Albuquerque and began working for Sandia National Labs. After leaving corporate work she chose to dedicate her life to raising her daughters and grandsons.

 Helen was a Charter Member of the Rio Grande Credit Union. Helen was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish for 58 years.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 811 Guaymas Pl. 87108. A visitation will begin at 10:00 am, with a rosary to be recited at 10:30 am and the funeral mass to be celebrated at 11:00 am. The internment will follow at Gate of Heaven.
