Obituary of Lawrence Frank Lovato

Lawrence Frank Lovato, AKA Sonny, Larry, 83, was called to heaven on September 10, 2022.  He was born to Lawrence and Mary Lovato in Clayton, NM, July 20, 1939.  He served in the US Army as a PVT E-2, July 10, 1958 thru June 30, 1963.  He married the love of his life, Rosie Chavez, November 20, 1965.  Together they had daughters, Patricia and Deborah; grandsons, Frank and Kallie Tafoya; great-grandchildren, Maddox and Lennox Tafoya, Patrick Tafoya and Trey, Justin Lucero and Meagan, and Michael Lucero. He also has a bonus family in Texas, Mark Barnes, son in law; blended family includes Adam, Kayla and Amayah, Hope, Zaiden and Grayce.  Additional immediate family members include, the fathers of his grandsons, Frank Tafoya Jr, and Walter Lucero.  He is also survived by his Aunt Juana Griswold and family; Cousin Gillie Lovato and family; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law. He had many lifelong friends, nobody was ever a stranger and became family instantly.

A special, Thank You, goes out to the wonderful staff at Davita for taking such amazing, loving, dedicated and devoted care of our dad for the last two years!  And also, to The VA hospital for giving him the utmost respect and care for many years!

The Rosary will be recited on Friday, September 30, 2022, 10:30 am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, Mass will follow at 11 am.  Interment will take place at 1:30 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
