Hector Barragan

Obituary of Hector Javier Barragan

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our father, grandfather “Tata”, Hector J. Barragan. He passed away peacefully at home on October 28th surrounded by his loved ones. Hector was born May 14, 1937 in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua to Jose and Maria Barragan. He was married for 55 years to Alicia Lozano and they raised 4 children. Hector leaves behind his brother Joe Barragan, his two daughters Isabel (Eddie) and Gina (Rick) and his two sons Hector (Thelma) and Lalo (Laura). He was fondly known as “Tata” by his 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He leaves behind so many beautiful memories that we will all cherish. He was a talented artist who could draw almost anything we asked. He gifted his art creations to so many family members, friends and neighbors. It brought him great pleasure to see the little ones from the neighborhood enjoy his rock paintings (even take them home). He is now reunited with our mother, Alicia, after 8 years of separation. We were all so blessed to have been raised by two loving, hard-working parents who instilled in us such great values that we have passed on to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your memories will always be in our hearts. A Celebration of our dad’s life will be announced at a later date . Please contact family for further details.
