Obituary of Anne M Monette

On Tuesday, November 1, Anne Marie Monette, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed from this life into eternal life. She was seventy one. Born to Emma and Walter Monette, January 30, 1951. Anne was known has “Bebe” to her family and Annie to her friends. She graduated from Manzano High School and went on to work at GTE Lenkurt Plant in Albuquerque, NM. From there she moved on to become one of the first female cable splicers with Mountain Bell, later Quest, and now Century Link, where she retired from.

Anne was an avid animal lover, especially horses, cats and dogs. Some of her favorite activities included biking with her sister and friends, hiking and taking trips especially to the ocean. She was excited to be expecting her first great grandchild. Anne was a spiritual woman with a deep faith in the Lord and loved participating in various church and community events helping those less fortunate. Anne will be remembered for her generosity and the time she dedicated to her family and friends.

Anne is survived by her son, Frankie Melendrez Jr and wife Sherry, grandson, Evan Melendrez and wife Lauren, great granddaughter, Luna Mae, granddaughter, Taylor all of Albuquerque, brothers John Monette of Casa Grande Arizona, brother Neil Monette and wife Lueanne of Albuquerque, sisters Donna Monette of Albuquerque, Patricia and Mike Riordan of Albuquerque and Carol Monette of Albuquerque and many nieces and nephews.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Emma Monette, brothers, Kenneth Monette, Michael Monette, David Monette and sister Martha Monette.

A rosary service will be held on Monday, November 14th 2022, at 6:00 PM with a viewing beginning at 5:00 PM at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE Albuquerque NM 87108. Funeral services will be held for Anne on the following morning, Tuesday November 15th , at 10:00 PM with interment occurring after services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A reception will follow.
