Obituary of George Richard Holmes

We mournfully announce the passing of George Richard Holmes, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. George, known to some as Ricky, passed away on October 11, 2022 at the age of 75.

George loved life to the fullest but was happiest when he was listening to his music or dancing a jig by himself or with whoever would join him! Elvis was his favorite, though. He even owned a pair of blue suede shoes once! He was also known for his love of crochet! And he was quite talented! He even sold a few here and there.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Holmes and his sister Lorna Robertson. He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Johnson, nieces: Anita Diaz, Sarah Jackson, Melissa Johnson, Dana Robertson; nephews: Michael Johnson and John Robertson.

As stubborn as he was, some said stubborn as a mule, he will be missed by all who ever had the pleasure of getting to know him.

No services will be held as was the wishes of George and his family.
