Obituary of Celestino Lucero

Celestino Lucero, age 74, born in Marquez, New Mexico and a resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico, passed away on December 6, 2022. Mr. Lucero is survived by his sons Mark Lucero and Daniel Lucero, daughter in love Maxine and mother of his sons Celina Lucero; grandchildren Faith, Chance, Damacio and Mariah; great-grandchildren Arielle and Skye; brother and sister in-laws, Clarence & Darlene Lucero and Viola Lucero.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mariano and Perfecta Lucero; brothers and sister in-laws Rueben Lucero (wife Flora), Elmer Lucero (wife Frances), George Lucero; sisters Perfilia Valdez (husband Faulstino) and Carmen Lucero.

Mr. Lucero served his country proudly and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He enjoyed ranching and farming when he was away from work.

Services will be held at the Marquez Chapel in Marquez, New Mexico on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 10am. Burial will proceed at the Marquez cemetery. A reception will follow at Clarence’s home in Marquez.
