Obituary of James David Rigel Sr.

James David Rigel (Bud) was born to George and Mary Rigel on November 04, 1941 in Greeley, Colorado and later relocated to New Mexico. James passed away peacefully on December 13th, 2022 at the age of 81 surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his wife Adeline (Lena) Rigel, Father George W. Rigel, Mother Mary Kathryn Rigel, Brother Bill Rigel, Sister Jane Dragon,  Son James Rigel Jr and Great-Great Grandson Jasper.

    He is survived by his Daughter Debra (Joe) Tovar, Sister Georgia (Robert) Davis, Brother Robert (Lori) Rigel, Grandsons David Woods, Jose Tovar, Clayton Rigel, James Tovar, Travis Rigel, Christopher Rigel; and a large extended family of 14 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    James(Bud) was a strong Christian Man who loved to serve the Lord. He was an Entrepreneur,General Contractor and loved Woodworking. James was a selfless family man and the foundation of the family. He was a man of Integrity and a Man of his word. James had a love for Country music, Classic Cars and Southwestern Design. His Legacy will live on through the ones he’s left behind.

Memorial  Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at Monterey Baptist church located at 12501 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112
