Obituary of Asuncion Quinn

Asuncion (Sonie) Quinn passed away on December 19, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sonie was born in the Philippines on August 15,1955. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey E. Quinn of the U.S. Airforce and her parents. Sonie never had any children.  After marrying her husband, she moved to the United States. She and her husband loved to travel throughout the United States, where they finally settled in New Mexico. Sonie had worked for Sears in Pensacola, Florida before transferring to the Albuquerque store, where she retired after 20 years of dedication to the company. After her husband's passing in Tucumcari, Sonie moved back to Albuquerque and joined the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho. She enjoyed going to service and attending bible study. Sonie could not stay retired for long and joined Lowes at Cottonwood where she worked until her passing. She loved meeting new people and making new friends everywhere she went. She could light up a room with her smile and had a big heart. She was always helping others and will be missed by so many.

Services will be held on January 18, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

Viewing will be held at 10:00 am and service begins at 10:30 am with a small reception following.

Burial will take place immediately after reception at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM 87501.
