I am so sorry a great man has left all of us. Buck had a way of making people laugh! He told great stories and was a very knowledgeable person about many things! He will be greatly missed! My deep sorrows for his amazing wife Nina, who is my very dear friend!

I met Buck when I went to work for the NM State Engineer. Whether in the field or in the office or out after work, I always enjoyed my time with Buck. A wealth of local and regional knowledge of history, geology, and water. And boy could he tell a tale! Once when my mother was visiting, she cooked up some of her delicious lasagna for me and Buck. We sat around the table talking and dining for hours, while the snow was coming down hard. What a great night that was. RIP my friend.

I will always remember Buck fondly. When I moved to Santa Fe and was a co-worker with him in the Office of the State Engineer we became good friends. Going out to the field with him was always an adventure... and he was the best story-teller. A big hug to a dear friend...
