Obituary of Glenn Edwin Hauf

Glenn E. Hauf 79 years old of Artesia NM passed away in his home on December 11, 2022.   He was born in Roswell, NM on May 20, 1943 to George and Eunice Hauf.   He was a husband, a father, and grandfather/great grandfather.  He loved his family and beloved pets.  Glenn was a hard working man who didn’t know nothing else.  Glenn was a shop foreman/Mechanic for Groendyke Transport in Artesia, NM for half his life.  He served in the national Guard for 6 years. When he was laid off from Groendyke. He kepted himself occupied by collecting cans and enjoyed his beer.  He salvage copper, brass and cans.  He always enjoyed reading his newspapers.  He was a coin collector.  He collect guns and knives.  He loved taking us shooting.  He always reloaded his own bullets.  He collect old cars and loved listening to the radio.  He call everyone he loved.  Glenn was very generous with people.  He used to give his vacation days away to help his friends who needed some help.  Glenn helped anyone he could that broke down on the road.  Over the years he sold everything of value.  He was preceded in death by his parents George and Eunice Hauf.  His cousin Bob.  His wife Charolette.   He has 4 children:  Glen and Wife Cassi.    Renee and husband Paul.  Donelle and brother Richard and wife Tammy.  His wife Cecilia and Stepchildren: Mariah and Matthew.  20 grandchildren and 14 great. Rocky his last boy of his 7 pets.  Precious who went to stay with Glen and Cassi.  He has a sister Sherrel and her kids. He loved his cousin Hazel.  Plus all his in laws that saw him as family.  Glenn always help many as he could. He was very independent and did most things on his own.  He was very stubborn. He said he never wanted to go to a senior home or have any type of surgeries.  He said no to hospital in his last days.  Glenn wanted to be cremated and have ashes spread near his beloved pets at his home.  Cremation was done by Riverside Funeral Services.  His memory will be with us always.  Thank you Glenn for being my best friend I love you   ❤️ Cecilia
