I will miss Uncle Jim as he always made me and my family feel welcomed. One fond memory I have is when my car broke down, I called him and he dropped what he was doing and towed my car so I could get it fixed. I did not have a tow cord, so he stopped at the store and bought one and when he was towing me through an intersection the tow rope broke and I was left out in the middle of the intersection. He quickly parked his car along side the rode and quickly ran back to help me push my car out of the intersection. I was so grateful for his help towing my car and his ideas on how I could get my car fixed. Another memory was when he attended my dad’s (his brother Kenneth’s funeral) he told me a story of when his mom (my grandmother) used to help clean the funeral home we were in when he was a child and he fell and scraped his knee and his mom and funeral home director took good care of him. Also, when I was teenager he came back to Ohio to visit and provided me some Chess game lessons from his experiences he learned when he went to Hawaii for a Chess tournament. I still use these Chess game techniques he shared with me, as it has over the years improved my Chess game. The most important memory I have of Uncle Jim is when we were talking at the hospital when my dad was sick. He told me of his faith in God and the fellowship and Bible studies he participated in. I too shared my walk with God and we were at that moment in time two Christians looking forward to heaven. I will not be able to attend the funeral services and I want to express me & my family’s sincere condolences to Uncle Jim’s entire family and friends. May God bless and comfort you through this time. Uncle Jim will be missed, as he was a good man and I’m grateful that he was my uncle and I look forward to seeing you him again someday in heaven. Love in Jesus, Doug Boren
