Obituary of James Raymond Boren

On Monday, January 9, 2023, our beloved James Raymond Boren passed away.  James was born in Ohio in 1941 to Kenneth and Sophie Boren.  He was 81 years old and led a full life. 

James joined the US Air Force shortly after high school where he served for 20 years and attained the rank of Master Sargent.  He then went on to work at Sandia Labs until retirement.  In retirement he and his wife Judy owned and operated a piano store.  The Piano Source was the place where many of his friends and family would gather to enjoy music and  good times. James enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He always had a good story to tell around the campfire. He was always there to help family and friends.  

James is preceeded by his wife Judy, who passed away in December of 2021.  He is survived by his children:  Paul & Michele, Melissa & Florenio, Kevin & Koreena, and Keith & Melinda; Nephew and neices, Doug, Jennifer and Sabrina as well as seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

Services for James will be held in Albuquerque at 9 am Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Riverside Funeral Home followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Park.
