Obituary of Eva Amy Sturdevant

On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 Eva Amy Sturdevant, passed away in her home surrounded by her family.

Eva was born April 8th, 1972 to Alcario and Rosalia Chacon she was 8th of 10 children. Eva grew up in Llaves, New Mexico and graduated high school from Coronado in 1990. She loved being out in nature and was always the first one to saddle her horse to help move cows. Eva married Paul Sturdevant and had two sons Brannon Sturdevant and Bryan Sturdevant. She devoted her life to being a wife and mother. After the boys were out of school, Eva moved to Albuquerque to pursue a career in Nursing. Eva enjoyed her job as a nursing assistant and was almost done with nursing school. Eva cared for her patients with so much love, she had truly found her calling in life.

Eva is survived by her sons Brannon and Bryan Sturdevant (Justus Bock), her parents Alcario and Rosalia Chacon; 5 brothers and 4 sisters. By the boys’ dad, Paul Sturdevant, and his family. She was loved by many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents, Doroteo and Cleotilde Aragon and her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Carmelita Chacon.

The viewing will be held at Riverside funeral home in Albuquerque on February 18th,2023, at 10 am following the viewing there will be a meal at Montecito Estates Community Association in Northwest Albuquerque.
