Obituary of Arlene Marie Doerr

Arlene Marie Doerr died February 26th at the age of 95. She is survived by her brother David Spann and sister Virginia Cameron,
her two remaining children JoAnne Pennington and Margaret Schiller, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Arlene  was a government clerk typist who began working in 1964 at Edwards AFB and finished at the FAA facility in Albuquerque in 1989 a career spanning 25 years.

From necessity Arlene was a baker learning from her mother during the depression and  she found much pleasure in making  goodies for her friends and family. She delighted in frosting wedding cakes  making roses and other flowers from frosting spending hours at it.

Arlene was a seamstress also by necessity from the depression years making clothes for her family from which she developed her stitching ability with which she sewed gowns for her sisters in the Eastern Star.  She was also a master craftsman at embroidery,  a skill she later showed off in stitching several prize winning lap quilts she entered in the state fair.

Arlene was a joy to everyone who met her and she always remembered to give boxes of chocolates to her friends and family at special occasions and holidays . She will be missed.
