Obituary of Ernest B. Trujillo

Ernest B. Trujillo was born to Lucia Gallegos and Apolonio Trujillo on April 22, 1949, In Mora, NM. 

He served in the US Army in the 101st Airborne and also served in the Vietnam War.  He received many

medals including the Purple Heart.

 

Ernest was a very loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.  He passed away peacefully in his home

on March 21,2023, at the age of 73 with his family by his side.

 

He is preceded in death by his mother Lucia Gallegos Maes, his father Apolonio Trujillo, and his granddaughter

Courtney Trujillo.

 

He is survived by his daughter Ericca Lopez, his son Ernest Trujillo Jr.,  the mother of his children Elaine Trujillo,

His granddaughter Jazmin Lopez, his grandsons Michael Lopez and wife Samantha, Nikolai Trujillo, Dominic Trujillo

And his great granddaughter Kayleigh Chacon.  He is also survived by his brother Leroy Trujillo and his wife Grace, his

sister Cathy ( Laurel) Ortega and her husband Mike, his two stepbrothers Thomas Vigil, Larry Vigil, his nieces , nephews

and many other close relatives.

On Wednesday, April 26th a  Rosary will take place at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 511 Alicia Street, Santa Fe, NM.  Followed by the funeral mass at 10:00a.m.  A celebration of life meal will follow immediately after the mass at the parish hall.

Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, April 27th.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jazmin Lopez, Michael Lopez, Nikolai Trujillo, Dominic Trujillo and Kayleigh Chacon.
