Obituary of Bradford Haynes Zeikus

Bradford Haynes Zeikus, 86, passed away peacefully in his Albuquerque home on April 1, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gini Silva and his five children, Jeff Zeikus (Molly), Jennifer Zeikus, Jessica Bravo (Manolo), Peter Zeikus and Kelly Zeikus.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Kate (Chris), Madeline (Lacie), Ian, Ellie, and Emilia.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Haynes Zeikus.

Brad was born on December 7, 1936, in New Haven, Connecticut.  Brad served in the Air Force and a was a veteran of the Korean War.  He was a weatherman, stationed in French Morocco and Oxford, England.  Brad attended San Francisco State and the University of New Mexico, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1966, practicing law for more than 50 years. 

Brad was active in the legal community.  He served as president of the UNM Law School Alumni Association for many years, president of the Albuquerque Bar Association, president of the NM State Bar’s Senior Lawyers’ Division, and member of the NM Board of Bar Commissioners.  Brad initiated and founded many programs to help lawyers and the community.

A memorial service will be held in Albuquerque NM in late July.
